Last NYC Heavyweight Diner, No. 519

Last Saturday, I took a few more pictures of the former NYC Heavyweight Diner No. 519, now lettered in Connecticut Valley livery as No. 154 "Lion Gardiner". Though the car sits on the Catskill Mountain RR's mainline just east of 209, it has been owned by the Empire State Railway Museum since 1965. The Museum is unable to restore the car, and is looking to give it away to any organization willing to fully or cosmetically restore it. It is apparently the last NYC heavyweight Diner in existence.

Please contact me if you would like to know more about the car, or know of a party which would be interested restoring it.
